About Us

Grayshill Ltd is a family run business that was established in 1981 by the late John and Jean Johnston.

The company was at that time run by 4 family members and 1 lorry. During the ensuing years by providing a prompt and efficient uplift service of fallen stock from the neighbouring farms, we now employ 25 members of staff, and a fleet of 22 vehicles.

We have over 5000 customers on record that include not only farmers but zoos, wild life parks, butchers, hunt kennels and chicken hatcheries.

We are also used by the Council in all our surrounding areas.

We attend racecourse meetings at Hamilton Park Racecourse, Ayr Racecourse and Perth Racecourse on a regular basis.

We were awarded the Who’s Who in 2009 and 2010 and our very own driver Craig Wilson was awarded at the Royal Highland Show as the Unsung Hero of 2012.
